I am a documentary photographer based in Chicago. I learned about making images from watching my father, a commercial photographer in Rochester, NY, and from avidly reading and watching anything I could find by Andre Kertesz, Robert Frank, Bruce Davidson, and many others. In my own work, I try not to approach my subjects with preconceived ideas of what I will see. I let the moment tell the story.
Andrew’s clients include The Gene Siskel Film Center, Craines Communications, and The Jane Goodall Institute. His work has appeared in Photo-District News, Burn Magazine, Chicago Tribune, and many other fine publications. He is available for local and national assignments, freelance projects, and commercial work.
